Soothing Serum Liquorice

18-B-GLYCYRRHETINIC ACID: Pentacyclic triterpene acid is extracted from the licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza glabra) and helps to relieve skin sensitivity with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial effects. Due to its properties, it can be used in cosmetics for sensitive and delicate skin and as a soothing agent in children’s products, aftershave and after-sun products, products for inflamed skin prone to redness, atopic and seborrheic dermatitis and irritation.

LIQUORICE EXTRACT: it reduces redness and has soothing action with whitening effects on skin areas with hyper-pigmentation, because it limits melanin production. It is therefore effective in the treatment of skin spots and in soothing the effects of sunburn. Its cicatrizing effects that make it suitable for treating acne and pimples are also known. Recent studies have shown that it is very useful for fighting wrinkles, in particular those caused by photo-aging following excessive exposure to sunlight.

BORAGE SEED OIL: Contains a large amount of important minerals including calcium, potassium and tannins. All of these compounds work as precursors to the phospholipids that make up cell membranes. Borage seed oil is used for all skin problems. It is an excellent ally in cosmetics as it counteracts skin aging and has regenerating action on dry skin, while counteracting skin inflammation.

CALENDULA OFFICINALIS: rich in triterpenes, flavonoids, polysaccharides, carotenes and phytosterols, it has excellent soothing properties. Flavonoids have antiphlogistic effects on sensitive skin and inflammation, stimulate reepithelialization, accelerate epidermal turnover and promote the dermal fibroblast activity while facilitating collagen synthesis.
